This post is brought to you by the NEO Girl Scouts.
The Girl Scouts have been around for over 100 years – since 1912. You most likely are aware of them, especially during cookie selling time, right? I mean, who hasn’t bought a box of Thin Mints (possibly my favorite Girl Scout cookie). You know a little bit about the Girl Scouts, but how much do you know?
I did some research on the Girl Scouts for this post – even talking to my sister-in-law who has been very involved along with her daughter for the past eight years. (I’ll tell you about my conversation with her at the link below).
As a homeschooling mom I look for ways to get my kids involved in group activities. I can see the Girl Scouts being a wonderful learning experience for homeschoolers interested in participating in social activities that involve families from different backgrounds as well as learning some serious life skills. Let me share a little about what I’ve learned about the Girl Scouts.
